Summary of function =================== This tool allows the user to examine and change various ECLiPSe global environmental settings. Layout ====== This tool consists of a list of global environment states and methods to alter these states. Functionality ============= This tool provides a GUI to the get_flag/2 and set_flag/2 predicates, which is used to alter some global environmental setting of ECLiPSe. See the manual or help pages for these predicates for details on the meaning of each individual flag listed in this tool. Most of the flag can have their settings changed within the tool. Depending on what the available values for the flag are, there are the following methods for changing them: a) radio buttons -- if the flag can only have a few fixed settings, these settings are available as radio buttons. Click on a particular button to set that value as the flag's value. b) Numeric entry -- if the flag has a numeric value, then the value can be typed into a window associated with the flag. Note that only numbers can be entered into these windows. c) Directory paths -- for the cwd flag, which can be set to any directory, the user can either chose a directory via its Change button, which will allow the user to select a directory using a directory browser, or a new directory can be typed in by editing the path listed in the window. Note that no checks are performed on the validity of the directory path in this latter case. For the library_path flag, a list of directories is given in its window. The user can change the paths by either editing the entry, or by clicking on its change button. The change button produce a menu of the current paths, and selecting a particular path allow it to be edited: this popups a window with several options: the path can be replaced, deleted, or a new path inserted. d) Output mode -- this flag can be change by clicking on its Change button. This pops up an additional window, in which the available settings for the output mode can be changed. The text next to each setting shows what the current setting will do, and changing the setting will change the text displayed. Until the Set button is pressed, the output mode will not be changed.
